I filed for my wife's i-130 on april 5, 2014 and I received my hard copy of NOA1 on april 14. Then this morning when I went to check on my case status it was highlighted " post decision activity " with the description

Post Decision Activity

On April 24, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Does that mean I got approved that fast? If so, I wasnt expecting it to be that fast.

Hmm. You have good luck then :)

Sometimes USCIS pulls files out of line for the purpose of training.

Or, you could be benefiting from expedites for the Philippines because of the typhoon.

Those are my guesses for the reason. In any case, you're lucky!

USCIS released a memo at the end of January that they are proactively expediting petitions with beneficiaries from the Philippines.

Congrats to you! :-)

Approval in ten (10) days -- sweet!
