, I have absolutely no money to go visit her once or even twice before we marry with a Fiance Visa.

This is well under a thousand dollars in travel. Forget about immigration - that is a small price to pay for seeing a LOT about her with your own eyes. This forum is replete with stories of people who got scammed and being self-professed Christians is no guarantee you aren't getting scammed or having pretty critical background information withheld.

A minor technical clarification - Work visa is a dual intent visa so there is no fraud here. However the bar for H1B is high from a perspective of job qualification match etc.. and it's already closed out for this year.

Would not TN be a better bet?

OP,

Complaining about the system will not change it or get your girl to the US.

Do some research and comply with the requirements if you want her here.

Take the advice of people who have spent years navigating the immigration system.

Her are the flaws with your plan;

1. You need to meet face to face before you can file anything for her. She is unlikely to get a tourist visa. You will need to go to Mexico.

2. She is unlikely to get a tourist visa to come live with you during the process.

3. You will not be able to get a work visa for her. Have you bother to look at the requirements?

GO VISIT HER IN MEXICO.

Not to mention, summer flights to Mexico can be prohibitively expensive due to all the vacationers this time of year.

Actually, summer is the cheapest time to travel to mexico. Peak season is the winter months DEC - APR

Don"t know what cities you would fly out of or into - but you can get a round trip flight from Dallas to mexico city or cancun - for $424

Where there is a will there is a way...

Set a price alert on Kayak, and go visit her -even if its just for a weekend!

And FYI DJ&L, you clearly have no clue about the size of Texas and Mexico. When I lived in Texas, it took nearly as long to get to some parts of Mexico as it does for me to get to England now. Not to mention, summer flights to Mexico can be prohibitively expensive due to all the vacationers this time of year.

Congrats...you know Texas is big. Don't be so daft. I said, three hours or less probably.

I live in San Antonio and prior to that Dallas. I've made several trips to Mexico.

It's less than three hours from DFW to Mexico City.

And my point is...it's not like going to Thailand or The Philippines.

Please forgive me...But when I read this post I was in need of a good laugh and thanks to your flip it way of commenting I got what I needed. Thank you for your sense of humour you are so funny, but all that you are saying is true. I to did not know how I would ever met my husband, but God provided a way. I have to admit...it was hard work and no money. But I was able to raise it. I wish my husband lived as close as Mexico. I would be there once a month. Op they are write in their advise maybe a little sarcastic and maybe not. They are pointing you in the right direction. K-1 proof that you have met once in 2 yrs. CR-1 proof of marriage either way a face to face is the only way. We are playing their game! BTW Op you have not even begun to play the game...wait until after filing there is when the caraziness!!! will begin. Day after day after day of waiting.... :clock:

Even though I didn't mean my post to be funny, I'm glad it gave you a laugh. Laughing is one of the most healthy things we can do as we patiently wait for approvals.

France is nearly as big as Texas.

Have her attempt to get a tourist visa (to go do tourist things, not visit her boyfriend). It will be a coin flip.

Buy a backpack and a bus ticket and go visit her.

I-130 + I-485 (presuming she gets the tourist visa and can legally enter) + biometrics = $1490

That doesn't include the daughter, which will be another $1405 (less $350 discount of you file together).

And you need to demonstrate $24,412 or more in annual income for the I-865 (Affidavit of Support).

Can you afford this?

Why are you advocating immigration fraud to enter US with Tourist visa and adjust status??

Done with K1, AOS and ROC
