You should already have a case number judging by your NOA2 date. Asking you to send an email with your approval letter is a very unusual request.

You should first call USCIS and ask to speak to a Tier 2 supervisor, ask them when exactly they sent your paperwork to the NVC, the date it left the building. I would bypass speaking to the rep that answers as they will most likely try to tell you that they can't give you any answers and you need to call NVC.

Once you find out the date that should give you a better idea of when NVC should have gotten your file. Try calling NVC again to make sure they have your file. Good luck!

It takes about a month for NVC to assign a case number. Call them once a week and on the third week I would start calling every day.

603-334-0700 - press 1 once you get through, you may have to call over and over again because you will keep getting a busy signal but don't worry that is normal.

Thank you CanGirl. I will be doing this first thing on Monday!

Good luck! Remember that the petitioner has to call USCIS, they won't give any information to the beneficiary. However, NVC will talk to both.

Had a chance to call NVC today? My file will be there in few days. I don't believe I need to wait over 30 days for case number. :(

I know it sucks, everyone has had to wait but once you get the case number things will speed up significantly. Start preparing all of your info now so that you are ahead of the game. Good luck!
