good luck with the move mate, i have family in Boston - i love it!, i noticed air lingus was quite cheap when i was looking for single fares... managed to book a one way (first class) through american airlines points! only cost £189, although i don't want to think how much it actually costs to build those miles! haha.

I haven't booked yet (my fiancee will be here next week so we will book the flight together ) but i plan to fly from London Luton to Dublin, then Dublin to Johnstown, PA through Washington Dulles

I can book the Dublin to Johnstown, PA as one ticket but i can't figure out how to book London Luton to Dublin onto it, so i'll just buy separately i guess..

Unless i'm missing something? :/

If you do book two separates, allow time for your bags and re check - in at Dublin..

Don't see any problem with a one way ticket when you are moving for good. Must have been an isolated case surely

Why would they? They shouldn't even be given the opportunity unless they have cause to search your bag. If you show your visa in your passport and the envelope I highly doubt anyone but a cbp officer will open the envelope!

Why is Dublin appealing to you? Why not London to Dulles non-stop? Is it that much cheaper to hop around?

London to Johnstown, PA through Dulles is £1200 1 way. From Dublin it's £650.. Absolutely no idea why!
