Texas right? I seem to remember that most US textbooks ultimately have their content determined by a board in Texas.

Yes, because the Texas market is so big, textbook publishers don't want to make multiple versions just to appease Texas, so too often they make the Texas approved version the standard one. Sickening.

Is there scientific evidence that the earth was created 6000 years ago?

Of course, there is evidence that many of the stories in the Bible did seem to happen to real people, but the accounts in Genesis. as a whole, would not seem to be among those, The first book of the Bible seems to be a collection of various myths borrowed from various cultures during the Babylonian Captivity.

I read it until, they put clothes on and lost interest

No. Let me speak slower. Every few years the state of Texas looks to change their textbooks. They go through a process to see what books with what subjects are to be required teaching. The Creationists always goes to Austin during this time and demands that Creationism is taught and that the textbooks have the subject if evolution is taught. So far they don't get what they want but they try hard. Many other states use the textbooks that Texas uses because their population is so much smaller and it would be too expensive to order their own separate books.

About 10 years ago a friend I know went with his other creationists zealots and after he returned he had told me that they had a list of the votes and that the group planned on targeting the pols for the next elections. I don't have to know the people that write the curriculum. I learned to read when young and read up on this stuff. You can too by using Google.

BTW that friend who I had known my whole life stopped associating with me unless I changed my views and became more like him.

You know the people who write curriculum for schools?

As a Democrat, I'm going to reach across the aisle and give you some advice you parted on me a few threads back. Stop trying to argue Dannologic, it's pointless and futile.

Now, back to hating you freakin right wing nut.

Thanks. I sometimes try even when I know it is futile. I did have some first hand knowledge that for some strange reason thought could help enlighten. Thanks for reminding me.

Conervatives are to the left of me so the hate has to be deep. :star:

You're welcome. I do it all the time. I be posting links and true accounts thinking to myself " There's no way he can refute this", and yet somehow he either disappears or changes the subject.

As Jinx pointed out a while back, he always tries to be the antagonist, unless it's something he actually believes in. If not, he'll just argue with you for the heck of it.

No you won't. You're like the rest of us. You'll see something and you'll respond because you know it's wrong. No shame in it.
