Hello again, I hope everyone is having a wonderful day so far :dancing: ... Just trying to put my nerves on ease .... My husband went for his medical exam on the 22nd of April.. His interview is on the 6th.. He went and was told that he has to come back for his last shot on the 22nd of May. They didnt give him his medical package. Does anyone knows if the Ghana Medical Center (he went to Akai, sorry if i spelled it wrong) sends the packet to the Consulate or is it still incomplete? I just want to make sure he will still be able to go the interview since he isnt able to get the last shot til the 22nd??

While I don't have specific knowledge of Ghana, typically if the medical is incomplete, the medical center will cancel the interview appointment until the medical is complete. If they have not done so, then go for the interview. The worse that will happen is a 221(g) because he did not have the last shot. When he gets it and the embassy gets official word that he did, they will issue the visa.

DId he ask what shot this is? Some of them need boosters 30, 60, 90 days after the first one. That ,may be the case here. So while we don' know for sure, this does not look like a problem, only a normal thing.

Did he give the facility a copy of his visa appointment letter? If he did, then his medicals should be ready for him to pick up prior to his interview. He must remind them of his visa interview date so that if his shots can be done quickly, its done on time.

Akai Clinic doesn't send medical reports directly to the Consulate. You go there personally to pick it up prior to your interview. I suggests he goes there as soon as possible to sort out his shots. No cause for alarm.

It may be possible that there is a medical reason why this one shot has to wait 30 days. No harm in asking for it sooner, but if they tell you there is a medical reason, ask them where that information is on the vaccination record so he can show it to the consular officer.

Well let me tell u this.Your fiance{e} have to go back to the Akai house to complete the medicals even after the interview. If he didn't go to the remaining shots after the interview, when the visa is issued to him and he comes to the states, during the Adjustment of Status,he will be asked to go to civil Surgeon to complete the rest of the medicals that he or she hasn't completed back in Ghana which is sooooooo much expensive here.So the only advice for him or her is to go back and get his medical completed after his interview, if luckily he has been approved. It happened to me and i know what i am talking about.I wish him or her the best of luck during and after the interview.
