Completed DS 261 on March 10th, still in review

Completed DS 261 on March 10th and got confirmation. Got an email from the NVC that the form wasn't completed. Resubmitted and got another confirmation.

Since that, I have called the NVC three times and keep getting told to wait as the form is in review. It is a simple form. I chose not to appoint an agent as I am in the USA currently visiting I confirmed with the NVC agent that this was acceptable. Now its been 6 weeks going into 7 weeks and we have paid and submitted the AOS fees but cannot move forward as the DS 260 is not yet available.

What can I do at this time as so much time is being wasted.

Seems like you have to appoint an agent when you are putting a US address. Because I am currently in the USA and did not choose an agent, the NVC had the file under review for 6 weeks as they did not understand what to do with the DS261 form. WTH?

- One agent said it was ok to NOT choose an agent, just provide my current address which has been updated with USCIS and the NVC

- Second agent said she cannot see the DS 261 form to say what I did wrong, only a supervisor can tell me more

- Third agent said I HAD to appoint an agent for it to come from out of review. She could also see the form, contrary to the second agent who said they cannot see the form, only supervisors can do so.

So NVC wasted 6 weeks of my time by giving me conflicting information.

I am suggesting that the beneficiary appoint the petitioner as the agent so you can move on.

They are still writing me to say the form needs to be completed. An agent looked over the form last week and said it was ok as we changed and appointed the petitioner. Yet one week later the NVC is saying that the form is not completed.

Any ideas on what else to do? It is 7 weeks later and the DS 261 form is still causing delays.
