Timeline

This is my first time on this board. I hope somebody can help me here.

I am the US citizen sponsor, sponsoring my 16 month old son, and my husband for immigration. I have never lived in the US as an adult. My parents, both US citizens, settled in Pakistan when I was a child. I've lived most of my life in Pakistan, and married a Pakistani man. Now we want to move to the US. We found a joint sponsor, but clearly I am not domiciled in the US. I would have gone to the US ahead of my husband to establish domicile, but I don't want to leave my 16 month old non citizen baby for the amount of time this would take. I am looking for ways to show intent to establish domicile, while living in Pakistan, so I can shift to the US with my family.

So far I have been able to:

1. Open a bank account

2. Transfer funds to that account

3. I already have a Social Security number.

The rest of the requirements have been difficult to fulfil. My child is not old enough to register in school. As far as I know, there are no upcoming elections for me to vote in. I'm a stay at home mom, my husband is the primary wage earner for our family, so I don't have a job in the US. And I'm not sure what sort of investments we're supposed to make in the US. If anybody has any suggestions, please do advise me. This feels very inadequate to me.

Does anybody have any suggestions for other ways to help establish my intent to live in the US with my family? I can show invitations from my family in the US to live with them. Of course we intend to rent our own place, but not until we have a visa.
