I'm Sabrina and I live in England. March 2010 I was talking to a friend in Georgia and she randomly said I should talk to her friend Mitchel. He had just come out of the Navy and she thought we should talk. I was NOT interested in meeting anyone, Especially so far away and I like he had, Just broke up with my ex.

The sneaky wench was talking to Mitch at the same time, Telling him he should talk to ME! Next thing I know, He adds me on Facebook and messages me. The plan was, We say hi just to be polite and tell our friend Thanks, But no thanks.

What happened next, No One could of predicted. We spoke that night for 4 hours straight and something clicked.

Over the next few days and weeks, We spoke every day without fail about anything and everything. Seeing that little box light up with a message made my heart jump with joy. The weeks turned into months and by July, We had to admit that our feelings had grown way beyond friendship. We had fallen for each other big time but everything was still scary and uncertain. We were sure we wanted to be together but didn't know how. We decided that I would save up and go there to Atlanta, Given the exchange rate worked well in my favour and he was at full time work and school. We didn't want to rush things as we had both been badly hurt and scammed out of a lot of money by our ex's. We continued to make plans and get to know each others family and friends through the endless Skype/Facetime calls.

I flew out there to Atlanta, Georgia on my own on the 31st May 2012. Seeing him there at the airport, It really was the most incredible feeling I have ever had in my life! He was there, In front of me. He was real, He was mine. I knew that I loved this man more than I ever thought possible and had no doubt I wanted to be there forever with him. Thankfully, He felt the same! We went back to his house, Where his family were waiting and I was embraced by everyone and made to feel the most welcome I've ever felt. The next 2 weeks were perfect and went by too quickly but we had already arranged for me to be there for our first Christmas and New Year together.

I've since flown out there to be with him 4 more times, Each more perfect than the last. He has graduated University with his degree and plans to be here asap for a visit.

He proposed December 24th 2013 and we became engaged! We knew already we wanted to go down the K1 route, As it was the quickest and we were more than prepared! We filed early March 2014 and received our NOA1 a week after. Now the waiting begins!

We met on a penpal site in November of 2011, sent a few messages back and forth then Skyped 3 days later and it was amazing! I think we both fell really hard for each other and starting talking like 4 or 5 hours a day on Skype after that. I flew to visit him a little over 2 months after we started talking in January of 2012 and I just didn't want to leave. He came to America in April and proposed, then I moved to Denmark to live with him and we got married. (L)(L) We've been married about a year and half now. :luv:

Through an online mmorpg game, called eveonline.

Not really looking for love either one of us, but a year and a half down the road as friends, something drew us together, and we fell in love.

We met in person for the first time april 2013 in Sweden, and again in novemeber 2013 til february 2014, in America. It was a good trip bothways, we met family and got along great.

Now we are just started on a K-1 visa process, and can't wait to get back there. =)

I was in Germany visiting family in Oct 2013 & decided to use POF's Locals Search while I was there, just to find someone to talk to. My now Fiancee happened to be within range one time, so I sent her a message & things have steadily progressed since. The time window for us to have met was only a matter of hours. Otherwise, she would not have shown up in my search & I would've had no clue she exists.

Haha! I met my husband on POF too. At first we hid the fact that was how we met from friends and family because it was such a sleazy place to meet someone. We just didn't want to admit to anyone ( most of all ourselves) that we were marrying someone whom we met on POF. Now we own it.

POF's not as bad of a site as some think. Quality people exist in every nook & cranny out there. Unfortunately, you must first get past the horde of morons to find them.

I also met my husband in Egypt, in 2006.

I decided, after a horrible divorce from a man I was with for 29 years, (married 25, divorce decree was exactly the day of our 25th wedding anniversary)

I left my job at the NHS, and decided to go and live in Egypt, and become a scuba diving instructor, at the grand old age of 51.

I was very happy to be alone.... never wanted a man in my life again!!

Mike was from the US, and had just got divorced, and retired, and was travelling the world, and was staying in Egypt for a while.

there was an online blog for Egyptian expats, and we both commented on a post.

Well....we got to PM'ing..and after a few days decided to meet up for a coffee. He was on one side of the Red Sea, I was on the other.

He came over on a ferry, we had coffee, ... this was in 2006.

We've been together ever since that day, pretty much 24/7. We got married in Copenhagen, Denmark 5 months later, after we moved back to the UK to gather up all my stuff.

We decided Georgia looked like a nice place to live (he was from the Midwest) pretty well stuck a pin in a map, We're still in GA, and loving it.

So....we're in our 8th year of being happily married, both retired, travelling a lot, and having fun. :)

Old and Grumpy....But an American Citizen!!!
