I maybe hired 2 whites in my former career. The rest were usually foreign or other races. Granted very few whites get science degrees but I never looked at their skin color. What I looked for was they met the basic qualifications and then it was one on one interview. I did check their references. No one I know discriminated against someone because they were black. I know many that hires people and they are the same. I know I and them were looking for someone that we thought would show up and work daily and hopefully when they were trained they stayed for long term. I would never hire someone that jumps from job to job. Where are all these racists at that hire only whites?

Nope. I've been to 17 different countries in my almost 20 year career. It's the same look almost everywhere you go. The only place I didn't get treated this way was Malaysia. Hell, even here at home I have to deal with it daily. My wife has even said something about it.

Look at the posts here. Even when we post poll after poll that clearly shows blacks and Latinos are discriminated against when it comes to pretty much everything, check the responses. It must be in our demeanor. It must be that college graduate with two degrees went to the interview with his pants sagging and can't speak proper English. We have to be in the wrong somehow.

Well, being that the ancestors in the country not only felt like they were entitled to property in this country and actually took it. Ummm let me see, hell yes!

Once slavery ended, black families should have been given land and an opportunity to fair and get ahead without prejudices just like the original European people were.

Basic necessities, once again for some of us who did not learn this in elementary school is FOOD, SHELTER and WATER. Denying people jobs because you don't life their skin ton is denying them their basic necessities.

Food, shelter and water. Because you need money for these things, yes? Or do you believe that all blacks should live in a homeless shelter for the rest of their lives? You know what? Don't answer that because I am sure you do.

News Flash.... in the same way whites do not have any connection to land owned by the family a century ago... chances are you wouldn't either... had your people had a parcel.

How long can you hang on to that excuse.... the Gov't never promised you land, look it up, it was one persons idea, such a commitment would have had to go through Congress.

Your reply was so irrelevant I did't read all of it. Most immigrants that come here, come voluntarily and can go home if they choose.

If you look through my history, I've posted quite a few links that shows how folks discriminate against folks with ethnic names. Even here, one member proclaimed very loudly that if a black person were to apply for his company, they would need, and I quote, impeccable references and qualifications, if not their application would go to the bottom of the pile just because they're black. My co workers, the ones that have names like Tanisha and Jamal, had to use their middle names to get looked at, and they have a few degrees and much experience. Look up stories where employers ask potential hires if they have a criminal record or to check their facebook to see if they have gang ties. This rarely if ever happens to a white person looking for a job.

There's also a few stories where black people(women mostly) would create two accounts. One with their real name, the other with a white sounding name. Same quals, different name. Always the same outcome, the white account gets responses immediately.

I guess I didn't explain myself correctly before. I hired few blacks as a Chemist. It was usually foreign born. Most Americans don't go for science degrees. If there were Americans they were usually woman and even they were few.

I have owned a few businesses and it never surprised me that most Americans didn't want to work as laborers or get their hands dirty.

Thats what so stupid, all through our life we see competent Blacks doing well and earning the respect of those around them... as well as the friendship.

IN my work-sphere the most competent person is a black chick, in fact I have encouraged her many times to move on and make some real money. She knows the ins and out more than anyone, on her day off she will get involved to solve any problem, she is the first one to shoulder the blame when she has no reason to.

I agree it is out there. It just seems that the consensus here is that whites are overwhelmingly racist. I just don't see racism everywhere but I tried to explain a possible reason why I don't. I found racism overseas a lot though. In fact every country I went to except Canada were disgustingly racist. Never been to Malaysia though.
