I seem to recall. A biker bar ? was it on Gray hwy ?

Can you imagine all the Patrons of Club Money packing. Macon is already a war zone

Yea, it was populated mostly by bikers and truckers! It was located where the new Fastenall building is on Rocky Creek Drive. Most of the shootings in Macon these days are gangbangers fighting over dope turf in the projects, this new law will not affect those who never paid attention to the previous laws anyway. Macon is dying a slow death and following Detroits example. Hopefully the new consolidated government can reverse years of corruption and greed that laid waste to the coffers of Macon and generate new hope and interest so investors will look at the city again as a possible location for relocation or expansion of exisiting businesses.

Education is what you get from reading the small print. Experience is what you get from not reading it.

Yep, Bloomfield has went to hell in a handbasket. Everyone that had money or means moved out into the county or left Bibb County altogether.

Alcohol & Firearms do not mix.

I'm sure the law does not allow drinking and packing.

This would allow you to get lunch at apple-bees and pack.... if you are not drinking.

It says it allows people to bring firearms to a bar 'without restriction'. That implies, at least to me, that you can't restrict someone from bringing their gun to a bar. Even if they're drinking.

I see some serious issues with the idea of people being able to carry guns in bars. Even if they aren't drinking. Someone next to them, in reach of them, is.

Come on bro, use common sense, you must know if you conceal carry with alcohol in your blood you lose your license, bar or no bar.

Actually, given that I live in a country that doesn't give concealed carry to any person who wants it, I didn't know that.

But it sounds the same, to me, as 'if you drink and drive, you lose your license.' Yeah, you do. But they have to catch you first, and by the time they catch you, someone can already be dead.

And even if you DON'T drink in the bar, let's say you're designated driver, what happens if some drunk clocks you and takes your gun? Guns shouldn't be NEAR alcohol. End of.

So it's legal now in Georgia to carry a gun into the state legislature and the governor's office?

No? Really? Why not? Shouldn't they feel much safer when people with guns can walk into their offices?

Yeah, that's what I thought. It's good for thee but not for me. Effing hypocrite gun nutters!

Because the same people who are going to drink and carry.... are going to look at the law and decide not to carry into a prohibited place? Makes perfect sense to me.

When you prohibit carrying into bars, you make it so that the security there can kick up a fuss or refuse you admission. When you say it's allowed 'without restriction,' it's a matter of months before the first bar owner who tries to stop this behaviour ends up in court being sued and then no bar owner can have any such rules of their own. Which means guns in every bar, whenever people want.

Guns and alcohol do not mix--even if the person carrying is not the person drinking.

Obviously what we have here is an understandable fear of liberty.

Thing is, we heard all this before when a few states passed "conceal carry" laws, since then EVERY STATE but one allows conceal carry.

The horror stories never materialize.

In stead we have endless cases of lives saved because someone had a gun.

Again, the simplest test of the soundness of the argument is this: does the liberal carry policy apply in the halls of the legislature and the office of the governor? If not, it's hypocritical nonsense.

The test result? Try carry your legally concealed firearm into the state legislature or into the governor's office and report back with your findings - if they grant you internet access from jail.

One step at a time my friend, one step at a time.

In the end.... no permit needed to carry.

Ddeal wit it.
