Hello all,

I am a British citizen hoping to visit the U.S. for two reasons.... 1. To do a few touristy things and 2. To go on some campus tours at various educational institutions.

I have a shortlist of educational institutions that I'd like to visit but I am wondering if going on campus tours at a variety of colleges and universities is permissible under a tourist visa. Is this acceptable? Or will I need a different visa?

That is totally fine. I presume you would travel under the VWP (with ESTA preclearance), not a visa, per se. Good luck.

Citizenship Process;

1/11/2013: Mailed N400 to Dallas Texas

3/11/2013: interview.. Approved

4/4/2013. : Oath! Now a U.S. citizen!

Have fun. Awww campus college trips. That takes me back.

I'll try and have fun :) I've got about four colleges on my shortlist and I might add a few more. I'm hoping to major in Creative Writing with some kind of Music minor.... But the Music minor isn't essential.
