You're right. I guess I shouldn't make it seem as if I'm unaware of the other costs besides fees. I am aware of the costs & have made my Fiancee aware of those costs as well. Like mailing stuff & medical & what not. I hadn't mentioned them as, to me, they seem inherent. But you're right. You have to plan for that stuff as well. Luckily for me, my Fiancee & I both are doing everything we can to see this through. One person is not trying to float the whole ship alone.

Indeed! Nothing beats the prepared mind and heart (and pocket :innocent: )! This can be a stressful process for most (if not all), so it's really good to have your other half to be as prepared as you are. The incidental costs can be somewhat significant especially if the embassy at the beneficiary's home country is in another city or province (or worse, island!), but helping informing each other here helps and lessen the burden. Hanging out at your portal will be of good help too, particularly when one comes into the "preparation for interview" phase. :)

Timeline

Hi,

Question, how come your timeline shows TSC Texas Service Center if you haven't filed the petition yet?

I am just curious if that's the default option when creating a timeline...

Rgds,

It was an accident when I originally set up my timeline and when I caught the mistake, went back to try to get it to go back to blank and it won't. I've tried multiple times to correct it. I'm sorry!

I was purely looking for confirmation I had the correct amounts. I don't get why this is a big deal. As you can see by the original post, I had the correct amounts so I had already gathered the information. I just wanted someone to confirm I had the right amounts for each. If its such a huge deal to ask, I don't understand what the forums are for. Its sad to have to have a thick skin to just ask for assistance. I mean, I get that some people come on and ask questions with just very blatant & obvious answers. Some are from lack of putting in the effort to look it up on their own. But sometimes its not because of that & its just because someone is confused or doesn't know where to find the information. Anyway, I'll try not to have to post any question again

The Russian portal has very little activity. Or at least from what I can find. I wish there were more active members for Russia. I found a girl who was just recently approved for her Russian fiancé & we messaged some. But now that she's been approved, she doesn't have a need for this site as much, I'm sure, and communication has stopped. But I'm trying my hardest to do all this correctly. I'm basically on my own. My fiancé can't help much at all. I don't know anyone who has gone through this process or anything close to it, so VJ is all I have.

Thank you for the facebook links! I will definitely look into that. Thank you to everyone who kindly confirmed for me what I was asking. Its greatly appreciated!

Sometimes, it's just how the conversation go and evolve from a simple question. Don't worry too much, my dear. You're just starting out the process. The first step is nothing really to sweat for. People here (most if not all) only mean to help you in your learning process. They might not have used the exact kind words you're used to or expecting, but they mean well nonetheless. :)

Hello!

I didn't mean to come across as a mean person, I apologize, We have been waiting on our NOA2 from the TSC for 84 days now, there have been several posts about people entering TSC as their service center when they are really at CSC (Which is going way faster) so when they get their approvals VJ takes their time and make an incorrect average for TSC processing time, I know one should keep in mind the time between NOA1 and NOA2 is 5 months, but it is hard not to get our hopes up when we see people getting approved in less time, lots of us are monitoring daily the "Processing Times" section of this website.

Don't stop asking! And forgive me, I wasn't trying to be rude

Have a good one! :goofy:

No, no! You were fine! I finally got it fixed. I don't know why it wouldn't work before but worked this time. I know how it effects Igor's List when someone has the wrong center listed. I just couldn't get it back to blank. You weren't rude at all. Thank y'all for being kind (:

Annnnd its back to still saying Texas Service Center. I give up :ranting:

My post is a reminder to other people here on VJ about the cost of this immigration journey. My fiance willing to spend money for me and insisted to pay my K-1 visa process and all expenses in Jakarta which was I refused it - we had argue about that but I won :luv: -. I love him dearly to death and it feels nice for me when we share responsibility together. I read many users here were shocked about how much it cost especially to those who are about to start their AOS. Time to learn a lesson, be prepare (time and money), and this journey is not an easy one.

-I am the beneficiary and my post is not reflecting my petitioner's point of views-

My Fiancee (beneficiary) is the same. There's a lot she will not let me pay anything for. I just love that she is that way.
