Quick Questions about G-325A and Addresses

So, I pulled out our old G-325 A that we used before we got married, and I'm more or less just copying the same information over to the new one (I can't use the same one because now her last name is different.).

Anyway, I made it to the part where it asks for the applicant's last address outside of the US of more than 1 year. That would be her home address in Osaka Japan. In the first time around, pre-marriage when we did the G-325A we kept that section blank and didn't get any RFE or anything. Why? It would've been the same address in Osaka, Japan, but for some reason we didn't put it on the form the first time. Not sure why we didn't at the time.

Also, is her current address, as of January 26, my New York address? I mean, she's been with me at this address since she entered on her K-1 Visa. She hasn't been at this address for 1 year, or even 3 months, but, at the moment that she came over, from the day that she landed, can my NY address be considered her current address? Also, if asked for her permanent address, we should put my NY address, right? (even though she's been here less than a year), because we plan on living here in NYC. Right?

What was her home address that she had keyed-in in her DS-160? You can use this address before she came to US. Most likely she must have listed the Osaka address, no?

Yes, use your NY home address for the current address. Then the next line would be her Osaka address again and so on. The "applicant's residence last 5 years", which includes the current address, does NOT need to be more than a year. The one year condition is asked below that.

Hi friend,

Regarding your first question, I don't see why you shouldn't put her old address, the one in Osaka. I don't think that would be a problem. But let's wait for other members to comment on this.

Second question, your address can be her address. BUT, if you live in an apartment, MAKE SURE she will get any communication/mail from USCIS. Talk to your building manager or your landlord, notify them she lives in your apartment now, so they will deliver any mail she gets, instead of forwarding it back to the postal office.

Regarless the question, ALWAYS say the truth! Whenever you are doubtful filling any form for uscis, ALWAYS answer the truth.
