I sent an original certified copy of the marriage certificate. It was 10 dollars per copy at the clerks office.I also sent my return for 2013 and a transcript for 2012 in addition to a recent pay stub, W-2s and a letter from my employer documenting my employment history.

All you need is a photocopy of the marriage certificate you get back from the court. If he did not file in 2012 or 2011, then he needs to include a statement about why he was not legally required to file taxes for those years. You have a couple choices on how to do this. On the lines where you would enter the Total Income for those tax years you can write in "Income too low. Did not file" and leave that as your explanation, or on those lines put "See Attachment" or just leave them blank and include a separate sheet to explain.
