I've been reading that once the interview concludes and the visa is approved that it can take 2-3 day or 1-3 weeks to have the actual document in hand.

I do not trust the mail service, let alone a courier service in Santo Domingo. My husband lives in barrio Bienvenido (Sto. Dgo. Oeste) and I highly doubt that ANY package will make it there. It's dangerous and for the most part forgotten by the government there.

I was not planning on staying longer than a week, but I want to see the physical document (I understand it cannot be opened) with my own eyes, before going home. Is there any way the consulate will expedite the delivery due to my travel issues? With whom should I speak?
