PDF files for EP (split topic)

I got a question here, can anyone tell me how to handle the PDF files?

Do I need to create different PDF file for each docs? Or combine all the docs into a single PDF file?

On NVCs site, it states "Create a separate file for each document, including all of its pages and both sides of double-sided documents. Do not include multiple documents in any scan file."

So for the AOS package (list below), I will have like like 9 PDF files for the AOE package.

Is that going be all right to sending 9 attachments to NVC via EP?

- Bar-coded cover sheet from payment portal
- Cover letter
- Completed, signed, and dated I-864 form by petitioner
- Tax information* of petitioner
- Pay stub(s) of petitioner (optional, but good proof of CURRENT income)
- Completed, signed, and dated I-864 of joint sponsor
- Tax information* of joint sponsor
- Proof of US citizenship/residency of joint sponsor
- Pay stub(s) of joint sponsor (optional, but good proof of CURRENT income)

I double checked the published instructions and find that they have changed to what you quote above. However, two items that may interest the reader.

1. The appear to have changed the instructions to use the word "Enroll" instead of "Optin" in the subject line when opting in for EP.

2. I know for a fact they will still accept and process the the AOS and CMR (Civil Documents) packages as one AOS PDF and one CMR PDF, even if the AOS with three tax returns from petitioner and joint sponsor totals more than 200 pages, and will do so within the same time frame as other cases. You would just name the files as GZO123456789.. First Middle FAMILYNAME AOS docs or CMR docs, as applicable.

We could debate the advisability or wisdom of choosing that option, and that could be interesting. I'm just telling you it still works, today and I've never seen a request to re-submit as separate PDF's.

For some, separate PDF's may be easier to handle. If you have the full version of Adobe, you can combine them all in one. Without the full version of Adobe or workable substitute, you have to scan printed documents to a single PDF file in order to combine.
