So happy you guys finally get your interview!! I remember you jumped to the CR1 path because it was so quick at the time and then it slowed down.

Ugh yeah, thank god we got an expedite approved (USCIS) or who knows where we would be in the process. We're ready for it to be done and thankful that we'll (hopefully) be together by our anniversiary (July).

I was living in Alberta and now I'm in Colorado.

I stayed at Best Western on Rue Drummond. I think it was $99/night with my AMA card. It's a 10 min walk to both Medisys and for the consulate.

You pick up your results or have them couriered to you. They're ready 3 days after the medical. So if you have the medical on Monday, the results are ready on Thursday. They are never sent to the consulate.

You can stay at the Sheraton if you want to spend a few extra bucks and get closer to the consulate. The Best Western Europa on Rue Drummond is nice also and you can walk down St Catherine's or Rene Levesque to go to the consulate. Its a 20 minute walk one-way. The weather is much better around this time of year - I did it in Feb. it wasnt as much fun. No need to go super early, go 15 minutes before the consulate opens. Go early even if your appointment time says 10AM or anything later. I was done by 9:45 and back at the hotel to checkout by 10AM. There arent too many people interviewing for CR1s in Montreal so it shouldnt be a hassle. Good luck.

03/06/2015- Successful walk in Bio Metrics (Scheduled date was 03/10/2015)
