I was looking at the requirments and i just have 1 question..

Does she need to have a job...? Because she doesnt have one..

Agreed with the rest, :guides: . http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

Links are also provided for reference in the guides, and here's the link to the poverty guidelines: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf

Moving to US is a big move and doesn't come cheap too. Does she already know you want to get married and that she and/or her family will have to eventually sponsor you to come to US?

I think the first step is to actually meet the lady in person. Not only is this a K1 requirement, but it's also wise to firm things up (I'm sure there's exceptions to this). If she's going to the US to do this, then she'll need a visitor's visa.

I second sweet cakes, also. Make sure she's ready to make the move, not only physically, but emotionally, too.

The SHE is the USC. OP is the would-be beneficiary if she agrees.

Its the other way around, she's coming to Europe to visit me so we can get married.

And I'm pretty sure that she's ready, we Skype more than 7 hours a day. We have a lot in common. Buy anyway let's not get off the topic

She, the us citizen needs to show that she can financially support you, the immigrant. If not, she needs to find someone who earns enough and is willing to say they will pay back anything in the case that you ask for govt assistance.

You really NEED to READ the guides provided to you, then read it one more time... THEN ask questions in what you do not understand..

But nothing can be done until you meet face to face... .

Wow, how'd I miss that? No caffiene this morning.

Apologies, OP. I still stand by my statement, however (just with you being ready instead).

Who is moving where? You never told us that. Will you be moving to the USA and then you and she marry and live there? If that is the plan you file for a K-1, hands down.

I think that's where my confusion came in. (And I misread, I'll own up to that). Who's moving where? You to the US? Her to your country? I think a lot of people have given you advice for your immigration to the US, but further clarification couldn't hurt, either.

K3 is virtually obsolete, it is a spouse visa... You would actually be filing CR1 which takes longer (12-18 months)
