My guess is that by the fastest route would be for her to move to Albania.

are you sure?

Yea, because they will give you forms to fill out, which basically gives them the information to fill out the actual forms.

We had a lawyer initially because my husband felt more comfortable going that way. It took them about 3 months before they finally sent it in. It isn't a priority for them to send out your forms, and they will focus on higher paid clients first. They made a ton of mistakes, so I basically had to redo my forms on my own. They also gave us bad information (not relevant to you, but they stated that I will go to my interview in Toronto, that I don't need a medical because I was from Canada and that once I cross into the USA, that I automatically get my green card...ALL WRONG!). I wish I found this site sooner, because we would have been approved much faster and we wouldn't have wasted $3000 on the lawyer.

Even if the lawyer doesn't make mistakes, and knows what they are doing, you still are basically paying them to copy your information into the forms. It is super easy to do on your own.

Hello,

I have a long-distance relationship with my girlfriend,we never met in person, we've been dating for almost 6 months now we are planing to get married. shes coming to visit me from the US this summer, what kind of visa do you guys advice me to get?(I need the fasts one available..)

Any help will be appreciated..

Thanks in advance

Regards.

You need to meet, and then file a K-1 for the quickest route. You do not need a lawyer, save the money. You will need it.

Dating 6 months and never met though, a bit of personal advice is to slow your roll and establish the relationship first with multiple visits and time spent actually together.

Who is moving where? You never told us that. Will you be moving to the USA and then you and she marry and live there? If that is the plan you file for a K-1, hands down.

As for her going there for a visit, she does not need a visa. She gets in with her US passport. Source: http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/english/country/albania.html

She can't apply for your K-1 until her visit there is done because proof that she made that visit must accompany her first filing.

One meeting is the absolute minimum to be approved, but the consulate will consider the case as whole, and one meeting in addition to other bare minimum efforts may make it seem that the relationship is not bona fide and lead to a denial.

Thanks a lot.

We communicate on daily basis and I have all the evidences with me, from chat log to ring receipts to booking the wedding venue and all contracts with photographers, officiant, restaurant ...etc.

I hope it will not be a problem.

Rings and a restaurant booking do not prove a bona fide relationship. Good luck.

Follow the expterts on this site, and I see no way for her to visit you this summer unless she would get a tourist visa, (have no idea how easy it is in her country).,.,but you must meet face to face before you can file a K-1 visa. A K-1 takes from 2-8 months, according to where you file.

An attorney is a waste of time, if you can follow the guides on this web site, all you need is HERE!

K-1 visa's must be filed perfectly, to be approved, but ALL the info..,., is here on this site!

That's unbelievable! I have a friend who also wants to hire a lawyer for a K1 "just to be sure." I told him to look at it this way: how honest/reputable is a lawyer who would take a case that they know darn well you don't need a lawyer for?

K1 is fastest right now... Meet in person (a requirement) then file the k1 ASAP, they go back to their country (do not overstay the visa) ... Currently k1 from start to finish has averaged 6-8 months from filing to arrival... Of course that could change.

I was looking at the requirments and i just have 1 question..

Does she need to have a job...? Because she doesnt have one..

If she doesn't have a job she can use a co-sponsor.

Or get a job.

co-sponsor?

Where to get one?

She finds one on her own. She asks a parent or a friend with a job.
