Hi all,

USCIS sent my approved case to the DOS today (according the the email i received). I thought it was supposed to send it to the NVC. I'm not sure I know what the difference is between the two, i thought they were the same but it seems that they are not. Any help? Advice?

it is the same thing.

Your case will be shipped to NVC for VISA processing. No worries!!!

11/17/2016: Got engaged
11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box
01/12/2016: NOA1

DOS=Department of State that's what NVC is under

DHS=Department of Homeland Security that's USCIS

Click on the NVC Process Wiki in my signature and read all about what to prepare for and expect. Congratulations.

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet
