My fiance was refused last year for medical reasons. He becomes eligible again Aug 1. I have made several attempts to contact the embassy through email and they always respond but not to my questions. We all know they take 5-7 business days to respond. Has anyone been through this process and can explain how it works in Jamaica? Initially we were required to have our packet with the appt date on it in order to get the medical done. I don't know if they are going to send another packet or what. They keep saying to email them on Aug 1 but we have already been waiting and want to expedite the process as much as possible. Aug 1 falls on a Friday, which means we may not hear from them until the following Friday. This is so frustrating! If someone know, please help

The Consulate will not respond to specific questions about your case. They can only answer general questions.

If they are telling you to email them on August 1st, that is what you need to do. You just need to be patient.

How long has it been since the I-129 NOA2?

I haven't been through it personally, but I can interpret from what they are saying that you cannot initiate the process before Aug 1. So no medical, no appointment, no movement at all prior to Aug 1. After Aug 1, you can start.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

It's been a year since the NOA2 and yes, I already understand I cannot initiate any process. I'm not trying to initiate process at all, as I get it! I just want to understand and know the process. I am not asking them specific questions, they are general...such as, will they send a packet as they did last year etc? There's absolutely no reason why they cant answer those types of questions.

If I could email them Aug 1 and get a response that day, it would make life easier. My fiance doesnt have a mailbox, he has to go to the post office and can only go on his day off (Monday only). No reason to go unless he knows he's receiving mail
