Hello Everyone...I just have a few questions about the I-134 Affidavit of Support. Our I-129F was approved and now on its way to the London Embassy!!! YEA!!!

BUT....Now I'm working on getting the I-134 Affidavit Of Support!!! I just recently started back to work, and I make just under 125% of Poverty Level! HELP!!!

My First question is 1) I do receive child support for my 2 children, can I include that in with my income? What proof will I need to show this? Because With Child Support....I'm just over the 125% line!!!

2) The Job that I have is a permanent position/Full time...but I will have only had it for a few weeks when My husband has his interview...Will this make a difference in his getting Approved?

3) I do not have any other savings,assets,etc...Will this be OK???

4) My Husband has approx. 5,000 pounds in his savings, will they take this into account in any way?

Thanks SO MUCH for any information that you may be able to provide! The BIG DAY is drawing NEAR...and I just want to be PREPARED!!!

I hope EVERYONE is having a HAPPY NEW YEAR....and LOTS OF LUCK and PRAYERS to Everyone Waiting!!!!

The safest solution is to get a co-sponsor, the I-134 is not enforceable and it avoids any concern as to whether you are just under or over.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Thanks for the fast response! :) But...unfortunantly a Co-Sponsor is NOT an option for us! So....it's UP TO ME! I feel that we will be ok as long as Child Support can be listed as part of my income???? OH...and yet another Question.... on the Poverty Guidlines form (the I-864P) I have 3 in my household at the Moment.....when I'm figuring these guidlines....do I count My Husband who is Immigrating as well....To Make 4 in Household???? :help:

Thanks Again for ANY HELP in this Matter!!!! And...Once Again.....GOOD LUCK to Everyone Waiting!!!

yes your immigrating hubby will be counted in the household size and yes you can use child support. Write a letter to attach to the I-134 and show proof of the child support such as a court order or copies of canceled checks ( if he pays you directly)or some other type of validation that it is being paid. Your husbands cash can help you make up the difference on an I-864, so one might assume it can on an I-134 as well.........again , write a letter and show proof.

Good Luck
