Hi,

Do you have to go to the SSA office to check if the name is on the SAVE system or you can call the 800 number to verify? I don't want to go to the SSA office (it is a little far) and the name is not on the system. My K1 fiancee has been here for almost 3 weeks now.

You have yo go.

I called and they checked it over the phone but they have to talk to the person who they are inquiring about. The USC can not call. At least that's what they said to me.

I tried to call but was told I had to show up in person.

Went there, wasn't in the system, but it took only about 3 weeks to get verified manually. I had the card within four weeks.

Good luck!
