Get there early.

"The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps!" - Eleanor Roosevelt, First Lady of the United States, 1945.

"Retreat hell! We just got here!"

Here's my list.

  • Be confident! They will find the week applicant and like piranha attack, attack and attack.
  • Look them in the eyes when speaking. (Otherwise you look weak)
  • Be sure to know your fiancée mothers maiden name and your fiancée "landline" phone number (if he doesn't have a landline but a cell answer the question with conviction by saying "he does not have a landline but a cell phone and that number is XXX-XXX-XXXX!"). These are the trick questions so be prepared.
  • CFO's main objective is to be sure the pinays are strong enough to seek help if you are ever in a difficult situation with your "future husband" or with another person in your new country.
  • Don't ever get an attitude with the interviewer. Remember they have the "GOLD" so they make the rules.
  • You will not win an argument with the interviewer, so answer the question and move on.

Good luck.

Thanks for all the replies and advice.

Thanks Hank. Seen that reply many times, :) read through it again just as a refresher.

Got here about 4am, waited in line till they opened the door and started checking ids and handing out cards with pink f's on them. I was directed to the holding cell, I mean waiting area downstairs, and the wife went in to wait for the next step.

Should be ok. We'll see how it goes.

Well, that took a while. Had a break about noon before they started the one on one. Then after that, the payment and releasing of the certificates.

Long day, but done. Now on to the passport changing.
