Did you expect something different? I didn't. I wanted to pay my respect because I watched the movie and followed him after he got out of prison.

People who are wrongfully convicted are proven innocent. Retrying a case for a third time so many years later is a very difficult job, witnesses die, testimony because less clear, new technologies develop which cast doubt on old evidence.

I too used to think the guy was innocent from Dylands song alone, but when one looks at the evidence it is very likely he was guilty..... which to me tempers the mood to make him a victim or hero.

We will never know.

It was obviously a wrong conviction. The man suffered a lot. He is now dead and able to rest in peace. Why wrongfully convict the man again after his death? Makes no sense to me but maybe I was just raised differently. I for one have a lot to pray for tonight and I will offer a special pray for this man and his loved ones during their sorrow.

Not exactly a choir boy he was twice convicted of murder yet gets off due to shoddy police work, the benefit of time and lack of a clear cut case.

Nope, I kept a distance of about 300 miles between me and him. He never even knew I was there. But I watched the Hurricane with Denzel Washington, so that's as close as I want to get to a man whose boxing skills were well known, unlike some people who claim they have a passion for boxing yet can't fight their way out of a wet paper bag.

I can't think of even a mediocre movie by Washington, though I have not seen all of his early ones.

You must be talking about Flight. I heard it was pretty good. Haven't seen it yet, last movie I saw was Captain America, The Winter Soldier.
