I didn't wait to see if they'd actually send the forms back, I sent a brand new one this morning.

They sent the form that says "please resubmit the enclosed form I-751 with the original signature of the petitioner with my packet attached, it just arrived in the mail.

I checked yesterday to make sure I didn't accidentally send the copies instead of the originals, and I didn't (no indents on the ones I kept). But hubby used a different pen to sign his than I did, and he writes with a different pressure (hands don't work properly). Admittedly it LOOKS like a copy, a crappy one at that. Before he left to go to work I made him sign back up copies but had him not date them (I guess I knew this was going to happen deep down?) and he used a different pen (an ink joy vs the bic stick pen from before)

So my what would you do is... I resent a brand new packet this morning with the letter they sent yesterday. I added an additional cover letter explaining what happened and that I didn't feel it was safe to wait to see if the packet was going to come back because of the time restriction. Would you send in this packet and hope they don't cash both checks, or hope that the one sent today (which is identical to this packet except I wrote my A number on everything just to be sure) will suffice. The one today doesn't have the ID# attached to it anywhere that the cover page that the returned packet does.

My plan is to call USCIS on Monday and see what they think, but I wanted to ask here first.

The packet sent today doesn't go to the address this form says to send it to :/ (different PO box).

His signature looks better on the copy I made and kept of the packet I sent today. He doesn't press hard.. but this is what the rejected one looks like

So I can see where their concern would lie. That's what I get for letting him use his own pen. It also doesn't help he signs his name like that in the first place. He could easily do just an S and then actually sign our last name, it only has 3 more letters than he already wrote! And since I did mine with a different pen, I press hard AND write neatly.. the two look so very different.

Ok I won't fret about it. They'll have it Monday afternoon, so hopefully, with some stroke of luck they get to it by Thursday. That's the part I will fret about, them getting to it in time. I know each time is different, but I will hold some hope that they got the fist packet on the 14th, and rejected it on the 15th and then sent the letter on the 16th.. so they got to it really quickly and might this time too.
