My friend here at work LOVES them too. She buys a box of them like every week or so. I admit that I do swipe one from her now and then.

I love clementines.

There...I said it. I really do. No seeds, wicked sweet and really really good if they've been in the fridge for a while.

Oh...and they're so easy and fun to peel too!!!

I've never actually had a clementine. Aren't they just very sweet mini oranges??

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

Seems like there is a rapist loose in my neighborhood. To make matters more creepy, the latest victim, a 13 year old girl walking to school, was raped at 7 am in the morning on Hyacinth Ave on Monday. 7 am is the exact time my bus passes by Hyacinth Ave. I'm out waiting for the bus at 6:50. Damn. I'm going to need to get some brass knuckles or something. I usually thread my keys through my fingers when I get off the bus at night, but I didn't think the morning was dangerous. No more before work runs for me. Damn.

Damn damn damn. Evil people suck.

I like satsumas - similar to clementines but a little larger... but I can go outside my office almost anytime and pick them from the tree as needed! Now sounds like a good time for one!

My husband has offered to be my bodyguard and escort me to the bus stop in the morning and meet me in the evening. He even offered to come to the grocery store tonight as my bodyguard :star: He's a sweety.

I hope the local Y starts offering a self defense class.

Rahma, that is so scary! I would definitely check in to getting some pepper spray and boning up on your self defense moves. And, just be alert to everyone around you. I've heard that The Gift of Fear by Gavin DeBecker is a really good book to read that teaches you a lot about your own internal insticts for when something is wrong, and how to learn to trust those instincts

i watched it somewhere between horrified (I have a special place in my heart for these donkeys) and laughing so hard. I was so afraid the donkey was going to come crashing down to the ground and not land softly like a cartoon character! Whew!

One of the interesting things I found about Morocco is how throughout the country it is an insult to tell someone to work like a donkey EXCEPT in Fez where it is seen as a compliment. My fiance thinks my affection for donkeys is too funny (he is not from Fez obviously :P ) and even funnier when I try to explain my affection for this beast of burden. which if I tried to do it here you would all side with him and laugh at me too I'm sure- except for maybe peezy ;)
