If money is a huge issue, he can contact the local Volunteer Lawyer Project in his area. He may qualify for free legal representation. Thats how my ex has been handling things - he doesn't pay a cent to keep making demands from me and every time we go back to "Expedited" matrimonial, which is monthly, I get to pay my lawyer more money!

Bottom line, if there's a will, there's a way!

Lisa, I've suggested hiring a process server before because it IS an excellent alternative. I don't know why that avenue hasn't been explored either.
