Interview Update..... YAAAAAAAAAAYY!!!!

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I GOT MY VISA TODAY!!!!!! OH my god, I can't believe that this journey is over!!

We had our interview and it was a piece of cake. My wife and I were in our hotel last night, testing each other with certain questions and they did not ask any of them. As soon as we got into the interview room all the nice man said was, your medical is perfect, here are your originals back and CONGRATULATIONS! You dont understand how happy we are!!!!!!

Thanks to all of you who have answered our questions throughout this year and thank you for your support.

Good luck to anyone else that is going through this process, it may take a while, it may take less than usual, but know that when it is all done, you can go celebrate, get drunk, do whatever...IN AMERICA with your loved one!!!

This is exactly what happend:

-Got to the consulate at 7:30 (we were the first ones)

-Went through security where we were told to go downstairs, and have a seat till 8:00am when the security guard brought us up stairs.

-Had a seat in front of window 14 which opend at 8:30pm. Again we were the first to get a number. C1 to be exact! =)

-Our number came up to go to window 12 where the lady verified that we had all of the necessary forms and also handed over my passport, two photos, and medical. She asked, "How long have you been married", "Have you ever been in trouble with the law", "Ever arrested or convicted of a crime", Then told to have a seat in the waiting area till our number came up for one of the interview rooms.

-We were called to interview room 8 where we met with a nice man who did not ask too many questions at all.

-The interview was really nice, he then asked me to put my index finger on the fingerprinter, and again with the other hand.

-All he said was, "Here are your original documents", "Your health is perfect", "We dont need the x-ray, and should give it to our doctor in the U.S.", and then.....CONGRATULATIONS, YOUR APPROVED!!!!! He then asked where you were going to enter the U.S. I told him that I was going through Pearson International. He told me to go at least an hour earlier so that they could process what they needed to.

-He then gave me a yellow slip that gave me entry for tomorrow after 2:30 to pick up my passport and the envelope to give to the POE. "Have a good day"

He was really nice, even apologizing about the cold he had.

Anyways, that was it, then it was chuggalug TIME!!!! We were so nervous, and didnt need to be.

Well, that was our experience, and hope this helps anyone else going through this same process.
