hello fellow vj's,

i just rcvd my noa1's. i was wondering if we do receive a rfe god forbid... where along in the process should we expect it?

what does this mean on the I-765 form I-797C? "as a reminder, if you have an underlying form I-140 that is approved or is still pending, you may request to change employers under INA 204(j) if your form I-485 adjustment application has been pending for at least 180 days. In order to do so, you should supplement the form I-485 record of proceeding with documentation relating to the new job offer that forms the basis of the INA 204(j) portability request."

how long does it normally take to get employment permission?

is the receipt number what we use to check status in the uscis website?

thanks fellow vjs

hello fellow vj's,

Did you file a Form I-140? If no, disregard.

how long does it normally take to get employment permission? 60-90(+) days, read recent AOS progress forum threads for details.

is the receipt number what we use to check status in the uscis website? Yes

thanks fellow vjs

Good luck.

not sure what the difference is between the I-131 vs I-140 I assume the 131 is for someone seeking status trough k1 and the other is once they have rcvd their permanent residency?

is there a link to the aos and the rest of the apps I-765 & the I-131 for the processing time frames?

is the receipt number what we use to check status in the uscis website? Yes

thanks fellow vjs

Different visa process: http://www.uscis.gov/i-140. As mentioned before...disregard.

No link for I-485, check recent threads in AOS Progress forum for details. Check VJ Processing Times for I-765/I-131 (EAD/AP): http://www.visajourney.com/content/times :D
