"VJ has become less informative and more useful as an immigration resource." eh?

And someone voted for it. Now I'm confused.

Clearly, I messed up. That's what happens when you copy and paste and then half azz the subsequent planned edit.

I just like the idea that someone saw that and was like, yeah, that's reasonable.

Or else they gave you the benefit of the doubt and figured out what you meant. Suckers. :P

VJ isn't as nice and supportive a place as it was in the past.

Very true of O/T. Its certainly more adversarial than it was before - but that's probably due to the increasing number of members. The bigger the site gets, the more Kooks it seems to attract.

Agree adn also believe this behavior has also spiled into other forums.

I've no doubt the "personality issues" spill over into the other forums, which is a pity really. I was thinking for a while of setting up a second ID purely for the immigration stuff to avoid dealing with the rest of that B/S.

There was a thread not so long ago about "whether or not you would help someone out on an immigration question based on your interactions with them in O/T". Of course the jury is out on whether the drunk and the crazy really have anything substantive to say on that score ;)

Personally, the main thing that has gotten to me as of late is the fact that the K-1 forums get far more attention than some of the forums further on in the process. For instance, I have seen several posts in the embassy level forum that are totally ignored. It just seems like people are centered on certain parts of the process as opposed to others. I feel a lot less certain about the packet 3, packet 4, interview, medical, and later AOS and removal of conditions, than I did about the K-1 initial process.

That, and sometimes I want to throttle people for being jerks to each other.

Our K-1 Visa/AOS/RoC timeline can be found here.
