Hey friends,

Abu Dhabi US Embassy recieved our Approved Petition on 29th Jan 2014 and on 4th Feb 2014 they changed the status to READY for interview and since then our case was only touched once on 27th Feb 2014 and nothing.

It seems weird to me because It took only 3 Months from our NOA1 to Embassy receiving our Case and 3 more months and counting for our Interview date + Packet 3?

Has anyone been through something similar? Are we missing something?

According to some people UAE US Embassy sends USC Email for Packet 3 + Interview date but how do they receive USC E-mail since they didn't ask us for it?

I thought UAE US Embassy was one of the fastest in the world but being provided with scenario i beg to differ.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Did you try contacting the Embassy in Abu Dhabi? I'm sorry I didn't pay more attention to that whole process, because they sent Packet 3 and interview appointment to USC e-mail, and I don't remember where I gave that information to them. However, based on your timeline, you're right there about the time you should have your interview based on my own experience. Which is considerably faster than some countries, so don't worry too much, this part of the journey is almost over for you. Just contact the embassy with your case number, and they should be able to get you the information you need.

Try emailing them, they usually respond within a couple days. Im thinking they dont have appontment available at this time or the near 3 month so maybe thats why they didnt contact to yet but you really should email them..

I have e-mailed them on 2 different occasion (1 month hit and 3 months hit) with no avail because as the site suggest they dont reply about Immigrant Visa interview dates, i guess we'll just have to be patient. I tried calling the embassy but the machine also said don't contact us about the interview date..

Mirpearl how do u check they dont have any space available for interview for the next 3 months?
