Hi again! I would like to ask if anyone in this forum is from Kazakhstan or their fiancee is from Kazakhstan. I think it will help me to understand how fast US Embassy in Kazakhstan works. Thank you in advance! We really hope that I will enter the USA in July 2007, and he will send all paper work to TSC on 19 Jan 07 (next week). I am so nervouse, as we are so tired of long distance relationship. We met 3 years ago in my country Kazakhstan. After 1 year he left back to USA since 2 years already we see each other 3 times per year and only for 3 weeks. Every his journey and mine we are so happy as we are together, bu when it is time to fly back to our home counties.... the most sad days!!!

Elmira, you can search the immigration timelines at the top of the page by country and by service center. All Texas Service Center petitions are forwarded to California so you should look there.

California *typically* takes about 90-120 days for I-129F approval and it looks like for K1 visas it takes about 70 days after the approved petition has been forwarded to get an interview date.

You should also read the Embassy Reviews and post in the regional forum for more first hand insight.

Good luck.

I'm in the same boat as you; from everything I've heard the American Embassy in Almaty is quick and efficient but the paperwork will still take an average of 5 months from start to finish. The waiting is hard but it's good to know that we have a good embassy to work with once things do start to get processed!

I know. Thank you. By the way, I see you have a Kazakh fiancee. I am a Kazakh as well. May be you can help me:

FIling the G-325 A your Fiancee put only her Family name and Given name in English, and in Russian she put her Family name, Given name and Patronomic name? Please help me. I plan to send my G-325A to my fiance tomorrow, but I am still confused with this thing.

Thank you!

Actually she wrote her first name, paternal/middle name and surname in Russian and I transcribed them into English so we ended up with the same name in both Cyrillic and Western writing. There's no need to change it and you really want to end up with the same thing both ways to avoid confusion later on.
