Changing name on passport

So i agree with the majority of the statements, It would be best to wait for the completion of your AOS before updating the passport. I went to the consulate and they never asked me to present her green card. I was going to update but I forgot my wife has a Doctor's appt, so I needed her passport for identification purposes. So my advice is to keep the passport until you receive the green card, then go ahead and update.

It sucks not having any form of ID for her for the 6-8 weeks it takes to update her passport. So i just chose to update after we receive her AP/EAD card or even after we receive her green card.

I am in no rush since her passport expires december 2017. So I was just jumping the gun.
