RCMP records still not in.

I hope someone can asnswer me. My husbands interview is on May 21, 2014 in Montreal. I have a police cert, from October 2013 which was emailed to the NVC to complete our case. WE HAVE YET TO RECIEVE my husbands certified criminal records from the RCMP which is more detailed about his convictions. We do have one from 2011 from when he applied for the I-92 waiver. Can we use the old ones or do they need to be done within the year???

Do you have the court records? Is the police certificate a finger print check, that is needed when the person has/had a record? Police checks need to be less then a year old, I don't think they will take the old one but if that is all he has by the time the interview take it with him it sure can't hurt things.

I'm also going to split this off into it's own thread as this one is old and members will be confused.

Thou I don't have a record, I got RCMP (finger print) check done at Commissionaires & the cert reached me within a week. B'se It was digital submitted online to RCMP. By the time my interview date came, It was exactly 6 months old. So got a "no record" cert from "regional" police(paid $45 & got it across the counter) two days prior to interview & submitted both at the interview. They said my original finger print check is valid for 1 year but still it was good to bring additional one (b'se I was put in AP & in case if even that delays things, there is still a chance that Consulate have latest police clearance).

As far as I know you would need "latest" police clearance from where you are currently living whereas "old" ones are okay from other places that you have lived before.

As May 21st is little far, I am sure you can go with peace after getting RCMP itself. don't worry.
