why moderators allow sarcastic replies?

Did you report the sarcastic posts? We have few moderators and they are all volunteers, we cannot read every post on Visajourney. We rely on members to alert us when something is against our TOS (http://www.visajourney.com/content/terms). The way to do that is to click on "report" at the bottom right of each post, and give a short explanation of why you think the post is a problem. The next moderator online will look at it.

Tbone you reviewed the remarks made in the post above in the first topic of this forum. You replied in the thread and I know you have seen the remarks made to myself as well as others. I would imagine that it being a moderator response thread that each Mod would check that thread frequently given it's an essential thread. The problem is not that you have not enough moderators, it's the fact that you leave content there that is unacceptable unless it is reported by a member, as well as the problematic person in place without repercussions.

^^^ and there is another person who enjoys getting a rise out of others with sarcastic material etc. Anyone notice a trend? The SAME people come rushing to join in. I've stated my concerns, I will bring this to the Administrators Attention.

See you are doing it again. Does this seem like a good tactic to you? I am just curious is all and wanting to help you. Sometimes an outside person can help someone see their flaws.

Perhaps maybe it will get the point across well enough to rid people of the site like you who enjoy belittling others. I'm curious why you and the select few enjoy such a thing? Does it make you feel good bashing someone over the net?

As was stated in the other thread, random moderation is to be expected here. Yes, a moderator posted earlier to what you thought was sarcastic. bullying, etc. and maybe that person shouldn't have. However, keep in mind - what you see as belittling, others see as simple good natured fun. There really isn't a way for the mod to know that you're offended unless you report it.

I would also like everyone to notice how polite I'm being. I am at this time publicly stating my intent to take the title of "nicest person on VJ" from GandD. Good luck and may the nicest person win.

And I'm going to win because Christians are the nicest people in the world.

An overinflated sense of ones self importance coupled with hypersensitivity is a recipe for disaster.

Some people don't understand this board is a source of information for everyone, not just them. They ask a question and want a one word answer not an explanation. The explanation is what makes this board useful to other people who may have a similar question.

They want to argue and hold the person who answered accountable for things they never meant. My answer to a question asked by the OP of this thread is a perfect example. Her question was unclear so I provided an answer I felt was appropriate and then was accused of being on my high horse and accusing her of things I never had. She then proceeded to argue with several other people. She never clarified what information she was seeking but became angry because the answers didn't directly address her unclear question.

Other times people ask a question and more information is needed but they refuse to provide it. This makes it very difficult to provide an accurate or correct answer but when the needed information is requested they are told it is none of their business. Well, if you want an accurate answer I need accurate information.

Some times people spam the board. I recall one person who posted the same question in at least 20 threads in a matter of one hour. This begs for a response.

Some times people ask questions that could have been answered if they had read the instructions.
