Its funny that you mention the section in bold. I actually see him as being one of the better presidents and at least in the modern era the 1990s feel a bit like a golden age now.

He was an effective president and accomplished a lot while in office until the Monica Lewinsky fiasco happened. I think people get confused about what makes a good leader. Some seem to think they need to pass a purity test. That's BS. Every effective leader throughout history had skeletons in their closet and our past presidents are no exception. Once you get over having a fairy-tale ideal of what a president should be, you start to look for ones that actually get things done.
