Thanks for this site: it's been a help for me and I believe many others.

Now, my question is I entered into the US via f1, which I have faithfully attended the school up to this time but I took off-campus job, unauthorized, paid taxes, did tax returns, not working right now though. I'm married (4 months now) to a US citizen, and I'm just about filling concurrently for I-130 and I-485; would I have problems with immigration for working off-campus unauthorized at a time?

Your thoughtful suggestions would be appreciated

I am in a similar situation the difference is that I wasn't employed but started my own business and currently working as a contractor. I had always paid taxes, and attorney advised to stop working by the time the proces of AOS starts and follow the law.

Not an area I am very knowledgeable in, which is why I was not answering. I don't like to give out incorrect information.

As far as I know, you should just be honest on all the forms, and if you did not use a fake SSN or claim to be a USC, then your illegal work should be 'forgiven' since you are the spouse of a USC.

You meant in the past that you worked?

Well, tell them the truth. I did on my application. I have been working off campus also. But my pay check is very minimal. If they asked I can show my parents had a financial hardship, plus I can show them that I did very well in school if ever mentions.

Anyhow, just tell them the truth, your SSN can reveal everything you have done in the US that required to use SSN. Fingerprinting also can do that. I recently printed my credit report, it shows where I have been living since I moved to the US 10 years ago, and where I have been working/worked. I have done many fingerprinting also, the report shows all my residential address, criminal record and more.

USCIS can find that out regardless.
