Hi All: My fiance is having a hard time finding a place in Bogota to obtain the police certificate. She has the DAS (exit/entrie card), she has the DAS card of no criminal activity, but she cannot find a police station that will issue a card from her time living in Bogota.

Thus, my question: for those of you with wives/fiances from Bogota, WHERE DOES SHE GO FOR THIS???? She would like to get this taken care of tomorrow...PLEASE RESPOND ASAP....THANK YOU. STINGER

I thought I sent you the information on the DAS report....including the location. If not, let me know. If you have that, but it does not work.....send me a PM and I will send you my wife's e-mail address. Your wife can e-mail my wife and my wife can tell her, in Spanish, where she went and what she had to do.

5/7/07 - Employment Authorization card received

8/28/07 - Re-scheduled (from 6/28) AOS interview in Orlando - AOS approved.

9/13/07 - Wife and step-daughter receive green cards

I guess my question is I "thought" in reading the instructions that you needed the DAS for exits and entries, the DAS for no criminal activity, and a "separate" letter/card from the police department where you have lived for last 16 years stating no criminal activity? is this wrong? If not, where in Bogota does she obtain the latter -- i.e., the card/letter from police department?

I spoke with my fiancee yesterday about the DAS. She has copies of the package 3 and 4 provided by a friend. I wanted to be sure I understood what she would need. She said she would a need a updated DAS. She said that since her mother worked for the government, that it would be easy and quick for her to get one. She said the DAS is a common document needed for employment and travel. I she also said that she would need a police report from her "neighborhood". I guess this is the local report you are talking about.
