What does IN TRANSIT TO CONSULAR SECTION at NVC mean??

So, now after two days ago when the NVC sais they hadn't received our case yet, they have indeed received it. This morning when I checked it said AT NVC, now I just checked and it said IN TRANSIT TO THE CONSULAR SECTION.

Is this a section at the NVC or does that mean it has already been sent to the consular in my home country?

02/01/2013 Received e-mail and text notification of acceptance 11/26/2013 Applied for SS#
02/04/2013 Received hard copy NOA1 (case not found in on-line system) 12/02/2013 ELIS site still states "accepted"
03/12/2013 Transferred to the local office 12/27/2013 received green card

I'm confused by something. NVC said they didn't have your case (I assume you called), and then you mentioned "it said". Where did you check this? Also, woohoo!! Congrats on it being sent to your embassy. :D

06/19/2018 - ROC still pending with no news but that wonky glitch back in February, so we went ahead and filed for citizenship

Oh, I am confused myself and have been since we started this process...so my fiance called yesterday or two days ago (not sure exactly because of time difference and I didn't ask him what time he called) and the NVC said they hadn't received it and then he called again this morning and they said they just received it ------first YAY :jest:

So, this morning after we talked I checked the status and it sais AT NVC but then when I checked an hour ago it said IN TRANSIT TO CONSULAR SECTION :)

The NVC doesn't have a consular section, so.... Your other guess is correct! Your case files should be in your country's consulate soon. Cheers! :dancing:
