83y.o. mother-in-law wants someone to accompany her at her interview (USEM)

It's been so hard to contact USEM's contact number these past few days.. I hope someone could help me out. My future mother-in-law's tourist visa has expired ( almost 2 years already so she's not qualified for the Visa Reissuance Program of the USEM) so she wants to apply for a tourist visa again so that she could attend her son's wedding. The problem is, she wants someone to accompany her and assist her during her interview because of course, her sense of hearing and sense of sight is not that good anymore (she's 83). My fiance's cousin takes care of her, so we wanted him to accompany her during the interview. Will the embassy allow that?

Another thing, I've read at the USEM's website that families are not qualified to have a group interview appointment. We also wanted my fiance's cousin (who takes care of his mom) to apply for a tourist visa so that he could accompany my mother-in-law when she goes to the US. So does it mean we still need to schedule them separately although we're planning to let him assist mother-in-law at her interview? we would be lucky if they'll be having the same date of interview.

Hi i would just explain to them that your mother in law is really old and disabled and that the cousin takes care of her, but as far as him getting a B-2 VISA thats going to be hard but you never know to you try but good luck, your mother in law will have no issues getting her visa renewed

She can bring a companion inside the embassy.

USEM allows companions for applicants with or that are children/minors, senior citizens, and handicapped.
