pending legislation

Section 2305(a) of the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act (S. 744) reclassifies spouses and children of lawful permanent residents as immediate relatives, thus exempting them from visa quotas. This bill was introduced in April 2013 and has cleared the Senate Judiciary Committee.

if its true i wish they legislate it this months fingers crossed!

Has anyone seen this site...saddened  by the current status of our visa status, just browsing the web to check ways on how to be united with our love ones I saw this site.

http://www.unitefamilies.org/eng/home/index.html

Can this possibly help us?

Dear Glemette, that site is not even a bit close to reality, in fact everybody is always welcome to visit USA as long as can be proved that this person doesnt have any intentions of overstaying its welcome. Even if you have a petition under your name if you can prove that you have strong commitments in your country likewise a job or studies, even good faith demonstrating you dont plan to quit until your immigrant visa is issued you wouldnt have to worry about that. On the other hand, last year the f2a category was so slow that uscis went ahead and as you can see the priority dates became current for many months, right now the visa bulletin is stopped in sept 2013 and possibly there will be a retrogression but it is not a 5 year waiting time. Please beware of those sites that try to create panic, and if you have major concerns feel free to call uscis they will always answer your doubts. Best of luck with your case :)

F2A visa

Once you give birth, the child must be counted in your husband's household. He must make enough for a family of 3.

Where you give birth and medical insurance has nothing to do with the household count for the I-864. All minor children are always counted for the I-864.
