Briefly.

I have completed my medical on 5th February. Some results needed to be verified and it took 2 months to get Knightsbridge to sign me off as fit to pass the medical (which they did on the 8 April) so the delay in waiting has been a little frustrating, 2 months in all)

So now do I have the 4-6 weeks wait for my interview date that most people have? I have checked my status and it says 'Ready' and the last touch point was the 9 April (The day after they received my medical pass from Knightsbridge Dr.s)

I have emailed the London Consulate without much success. Anyone know if your medical results have been delayed do you then enter into the list and wait your turn for a date? How long will this be? If not do I get slotted in fairly quickly?

What's the wait for an interview date these days?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know precisely what you mean about that. Our medical was delayed too because of a finger injury my SO had which should have had absolutely no bearing whatsoever on whether or not he would be allowed to immigrate here, and as a result we missed our wedding date (we were doing a K-1).

Anyways, we weren't CR-1, but I just wanted to say that my SO had luck getting through to someone at the embassy by calling the number and hitting 0 until he could speak to a live person. That was how he was able to get status; no one ever responded to the emails.

It makes sense to me that when the results arrive at the embassy, you are in line to be served as of that date whether your medical exam was 4 days ago or 2 months ago. So you are qualified for an interview as of April 8 along with the other DCF and K1 applicants who have everything in. It probably won't be the full six weeks, but keep in mind the embassy has holidays Friday and Monday so things will pile up a little.

Embassy amazing and my interview date arrived on the 17 April in the post. Posted 2nd calss so it seems just barely 5 days before they posted out the date. You can't argue with that.

Interview date 12 May.

Thanks for the responses guys.
