Hi All,

I just receievd my AP Documentes yesterday and am scheduled for the AOS interview tomorrow ** Yes really nervous about it **.

I know I am supposed to bring in the AP documents and so forth...

I am wondering if the interviewer would return my AP documents after the AOS interview ? As I really need these papers to travel back home in a couple of weeks for visit.

Any advice?

Regards,

rozytc

We had the same situation. My wife got AP and EAD just before her interview. They confiscated the EAD but left the AP. I guess they understand that the green card issuance can be delayed. I would leave the AP at home and if they ask say, "Opps, must have left it on the table when we left home".

Rozytc,

If your adjustment can be approved at the interview then the case officer probably will take your AP documents (and your EAC if you have one).

Tell the case officer that you need to travel outside the country in the immediate future and ask that he stamp your passport with the notation that you have been given LPR status. This stamp will serve as your I-551 until the card is manufactured and sent to you.
