Hey everyone!

I received my noa1 today..however it says

"the above application has been received by our office and is in process, but has been noted with one or more of the following exceptions: missing evidence(s)- your application was missing evidences that you will need to provide at the time of your naturalization interview. You will be notified under separate notice of the necessary evidences that you will be required to bring to your interview. Do not submit any evidences by mail"

Is that pretty standard or is this because I really am missing some stuff? Has anyone ever experienced this? I have never had a noa1 like this for k1, aos or roc

Thanks!

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

nm. Hi Messy!

You don't think it's something to worry about? I asked in the naturalization group and no one seems to have the same kind of noa1, I'm not sure what evidence of mine is missing. I just wonder why mine is different :( I just wanted to see if anyone else has ever gotten a "notice with exception" or if this is something strange. It seems like it's just me

I thought it was for biometrics but I saw your other thread and I think the speeding ticket is a good guess. I don't know you that well, but from what I do know, there is nothing out of the ordinary about your case. I mean, what could it be? What makes you "an exception?" Is there something you are worried about?

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Nope, other than the speeding ticket, there is nothing out of the ordinary with my application. And I sent all the necessary initial documents, except for checking "yes" for being cited by an officer and not sending in proof of that.. Hopefully that's all it is because I have the receipts and cashed check for that so its a non-issue. Im just wondering why I am the only one who seems to have ever gotten this kind of noa1. :( I have been googling, and it seems to be something normal back in like 2005-2008 since thats where all the posts come from, but none recently. So either I am starting a new trend or I am the exception.

They could be following old rules or something, since you sent to Nebraska, right? It's rare to file there. Maybe it's like when local offices starting adjudicating stand-alone I-130s and sent out NOIDs instead of RFEs. Don't worry!

Yes I sent to Nebraska. I guess I will just wait and see.

Thank you, I feel better now! :)
