HELP with visa duration

we are in AP since 3 months, our medical was months ago and we got a letter from the Embassy to send new documents in order to finialize our visa processing.

If everyting goes fine then we expect our visa(s) in another month which means we have to travel within another month which is very hard for us.

Now because we are a family and have kids we need more time to arrange our self before travlling, can we ask the Embassy to extend our visas for another 2 months or we have to do another medical tests.

You have 6 months to enter the US from the time of medical. You can ask but probably no. Unless you get a new medical. Ask the embassy first.

Usually if they ever extend visa to enter its under extreme circumstances. Like someone was too sick to travel had passport stolen and had to wait and get new one. All you can do is ask the embassy when you get the Visa.

I doubt if you will just have a month or weeks to enter. They alot the AP. But do inquire when that time comes. Or even ask ahead to get a head start and know.
