I too am still waiting and it's been 9 months - 10 on the 21st of this month and I am seriously trying very hard everyday not to break down and cry. I want to visit my friend in Denmark and the best way would be to transit through the U.S and I can't even do that without a visa which is almost impossible to get if you have a case pending. It's like I'm in a box and no one will let me out. No one will even put a cut out so I can get some air. I am just hoping like you though I get a reply by this month which will make 10 months. This is just ridiculous :[

My case was transferred to California on January 31st. That's the last I hear.

Did your case get transferred ?

How long did you wait after it being transferred ?

Have you contacted your representative or senator? How about sending something directly to the CSC director and asking for progress report? You are out of their normal processing windows, you should be able open a case. Lots of the monthly I-130 filer threads have good information on other member's experiences and what they did.

Good luck!

I am really new to this whole thing and don't quite now how to go about all those things.

I am out of the country at this time so I'm not sure how that would work but I will give it a shot by contacting some people.
I've tried calling before since my case is out of the normal processing time but I keep getting a machine.
How about sending something directly to the CSC director and asking for progress report? - How exactly do I go about that ?

Oh sorry, you are the beneficiary. Your spouse, the USC, would have to initiate this process. All Rep. and Senators have a USCIS/Immigration liaison to contact or even write a letter or fax a letter directly to the rep/senator.

Regarding contacting CSC director, please see the Mar/Apr/May I-130 filer threads; there are many who have had to push to get progress made. I don't have the email address of that person off hand. I was lucky enough to not have to go that path, I simply worked with my Senator's office on the general process and pointed out the inefficiencies that they addressed with the USCIS staff.

However, all of this will have to be done by your spouse.

That's great you were able to get COngressional support. My Senator/Representaive were completely useless :/

The staffers that I worked with were extremely nice and engaging. I talked with a DC based staffer from the Judiciary committee and a local USCIS liaison from my Senator's office. They listened and promised to bring up my concerns with the senator and USCIS.

My points were twofold:

1) DACA case load completely derailing USC I-130s; on this front I provided the FOIA letters from someone else that proved that USCIS deliberately diverted resources away for DACA. They told me USCIS rep. responded that DACA had nothing to do with it!! (LOL, I pointed out the emails again). This was right around the time of the transfer start, at which she pointed out USCIS addressed my concern.

2) K3 visa weren't being used as intended by the 2000 family act; USCIS was simply combining 130 and 129s. I was told they have been doing this to save money as 129F with k3 have no fees it was not feasible for them to process individually on a large scale. I was told they'll continue to work on this concern.

I am not sure anything concrete came out of my personal interaction, but it sure felt good to me and my spouse that we were being proactive. I sure as hell know that mass letter writing and other campaign by many on this site as a group certainly had a huge impact!

That exaplains EVERYTHING! That also affirms my suspicion that people who adjust their status in the US (file the I-130 plus I-485) are processed much faster because they're paying an extra $1000. K-1 filers are processed faster because they will also adjust status plus get a conditional green card plus the 10 year green card. We I-130 filers are only paying for wither a conditional + green card or just green card. It's all about the money they make off of us. SMH

My Representative and Senator both told me their priority is making sure people here without documentation get a path to citizenship.

One word: VOTES

If they give people a path to citizenship who are undocumented, think of the potential MILLIONS of votes that would garner (their USC relatives would vote for whichever politician gave these people their papers).

Look at all the lovely names and emails that folks will have at their disposal when their petition is out of processing time - what an arsenal of information! I love how they stated that it could be part of an "orchestrated letter writing campaign". Yep, at VJ, we don't sit on our asses - we take action and get things done.

I'm voting against both the Senator who didn't help me in the least, and the Congressman who didn't help, and had his staffer send an illiterate letter to me. And I'm going to urge everyone I know to vote against them as well. They are being stupid. My husband can become a citizen 3 years after POE, and can vote against them fairly quickly. I'm sure that he's not the only one who will be able to do so.

Btw, has anyone sent this to that lawyer Gary? I'm sure he'd be interested in it.

It might help you to be less spiteful (It might help you read my timeline better as well). You have no idea what my mindset is so I would appreciate you not suggest how I should feel. I can care less what you find amusing, I have posted this here for people who have had the worst of this process and those who want to make a difference by understanding the inner workings of this opaque process and try to change it. There are many members who have done just that and continue to do so.

I have been supportive and understanding of everyone who's had it worse than me; my inquiry was initiated during the time when I saw how unfairly the Nebraska and Texas service centers were fairing compared to California.

In any case, if all you want do is belittle someone else, I suggest you find something better to do.

Thank you for sharing, and great answer to spiteful!
