I can't see your timeline since I'm on my phone, OP, but I wonder if you might have accidentally made the vj system think you have applied via DCF, when you didn't. Did you select "applying from abroad" in the drop down? If so, your timeline estimate would be similar to what you're seeing. If you correct that, you will get a more accurate estimate. That's what happened to me, anyway.

Is your timeline updated?

This is totally ridiculous? Of course it is! For all of us, not just for you. Do you think we actually like waiting a year to be reunited with our wives and fiances and chidren who are stuck on the other side of the world?

But like it or not, this is the system. We either use it, or our loved ones never get here ever. Choice 1 or choice 2. There is no choice 3. Choice 2 is not an option. So we use choice 1 and make the best of this horrible system.

In the end it works, not as quickly or cheaply as it should work, but it works. And seeing as there is no alternate system to use, we all put up with it.

How about you?

The averaged wait time for the Nebraska service center for the I130 approval is five months. So from the date of your NOA1 calculate five months, after that time you can then start looking some news hopefully. But remember, there are people (friends of mine too) that submitted in the first six months of last year and are still in the same position you and I are waiting to get approved I130 and move to next level.

The best thing to do while waiting is to read a lot of the forums and post here on Visajourney.com and to join some wifes support groups on facebook to develop friendships with people going through the same process with you.

Please understand, this is now a waiting process for ALL of us and you have to be patient, and yes it will drive you crazy with tears and frustrations at the process. But honestly there is nothing you can do but continue with you life, make plans to visit your loved on again, and check this link every day:

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp

To just see if it might show some movement on your case...............

Blessings and the best of luck to you :)

Some guy posted in the wrong sub-forum, he got moved to the correct one... he kicked off and "reported" VJ to the BBB for "mistreating" him. Tbh he was probably a troll :D

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Would posting a link to a cached page of the topic get me in trouble??

You can't see the entire posts though.. it was a guud'n

In the end someone did answer basically what he was asking... and the topic could have been helpful... but he did not get the hoped for answers before he "blocked" several people and told them so as he did it!

~ Jan ??,2013 ~ Service Center ~ Vermont I-129F Packet sent

NOTE: Actual sent date unknown due to lawyer negligence - I delivered ALLForms and PAID Lawyer on Nov 7, 2012 - Lawyer kept saying he sent the packet and USCIS must have lost it. When in reality he failed to send the package and only a new copy to USCIS after I made a legal written demand giving him 10 days to perform or return ALL monies paid to him, due to "non-performance".

(IMO it's better to save your money for visits to or from your Fiancé and just fill it out yourself using the K-1 Guide on VJ and Senior Members... They Rock!!!)
