Quick question.

Does NVC notify the USEM that a case has been completed and asks for an availability for interview schedule, advises the applicant/petitioner/attorney and then sends the paperwork or do they wait until USEM receives everything and then schedules the interview?

Most call NVC. The case complete email comes a week after case complete. Than you wait in queue for interview.

The embassies just finished scheduling for May so next go round for June will be end of this month 1st week of May.

There's no advising of interviews. You get an email saying your interview is XX day. That's it the emails comes with your personalize checklist of what to bring or not in about 24 hrs or less.

NVC contacts USEM to get an interview date & MNL #, then sends the physical package.

Seeing as our case was completed in the middle of April, what are the chances of getting an interview schedule for next month, May 2014?

Not likely, June is fully booked already, many are waiting for the embassy to open up July so they can grab an interview date.

Thank you for the quick reply Hank. Last question.

How long does it usually take for NVC to notify me of the interview appointment? I've read other posts that generally NVC takes another 2 weeks from case close to notifying us of the interview appointment. If we wont get a schedule until July, will they still notify us 2 weeks from case completion?

I just got off the phone with the NVC and I was told that my case was completed on April 7, does that make a difference as far as getting an earlier schedule or it doesn't matter and most likely it'll still be in July?
